Ingredients
Carrot-6 nos.
Onion-1
Green chilli-3 to 4
Salt –to taste
Coconut-3 tsp
Curry leaves-1 sprig
To Temper
Oil-3 tsp
Mustard and urad dal-1 tsp
Method
Wash,peel and shred the carrots
Heat the pan with oil and put mustard and urad dal.When it splutters add chopped onion and saute it with little salt.
Add some curry leaves.When the onion becomes transparent add the shredded carrots into it and cover it with lid.
Cook the carrot in a medium flame.Mix it in between till the carrot cooked well.
Add salt.
Finally add some coconut and mix it well.
Carrot poriyal is ready to serve.
Tried this too.. simple & v.tasty.. ma room pals too like's it.. goes well with chappati....
