MANA THAKKALI KEERAI PORIYAL

Ingredients
  1. Manathakkali Keerai – a Bunch
  2. Small Onion – 10 Nos
  3. Salt – As per taste
  4. Mustard
  5. Oil –2 Tsp
To Grind
  1. Scrubbed Coconut – 2 Tbsp
  2. Green Chilli -1
  3. Small onion – 3 Nos
  4. Cumin seed –1Tsp
PREPARATION METHOD
1.Chop the onions finely as shown in the figure

2.First check for unwanted leaves in the Bunch n remove if any.Then rinse  the leaves thoroughly (3 to 4 times) until all the sand and stains are gone.

3.Then chop the leaves as shown in the figure.

4.In a pan,add 2 tsp of oil,then mustard seeds.When it splutters,add chopped onion  and saute it for few seconds.

5.Then add chopped leaves and saute it now and then.Sprinkle water slightly(.Do not add more water)

6. Meanwhile grind the things mentioned under "to grind".

7.Add the ground paste on to the pan.Mix it well.Add a pinch of salt at last.Now manathakali keerai poriyal is ready.

Tips
1.Always use fresh keerai to cook.
2. Only after cleaning keerai  chop the leaves.Otherwise all the vitamins will be washed away.
3.Use only less salt while preparing keerai and add it at the end of preparation
