 MINT COCONUT CHUTNEY/PUDINA CHUTNEY

                    

Mint chutney is one of the tastiest side dish for Idly/Dosa. 

 Ingredients

  1. Mint leaves – a bunch
  2. Scrubbed coconut – 2 tbsp
  3. Green chili – 3 (Big)
  4. Tamarind – Golf ball size
  5. Salt  as per taste

To Temper

  1. Oil – 2 tsp
  2. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  3. Urad dal – 1/2 tsp

Preparation Method

1.First check the unwanted leaves from the bunch of mint leaves.Then rinse it thoroughly for 3 times to remove sands and stains.

2.Heat Oil in a pan,add green chili first(break the chilies into half).saute it for 1 min.

3.Then fry scrubbed coconut till it turns to golden brown color.

4.At last fry Mint leaves till all the water get absorbs.
5.Grind all the above with tamarind and sufficient salt.

6.Keep the ground paste in a vessel.
7.Heat oil in a pan.Add mustard seeds and urad dal.While it splutters,Pour this into the ground chutney.

8.Now Mint coconut chutney is ready to serve.
