PEAS PULAV


Recipe Highlights
Green Peas pulav is quick and tasty food.I have used frozen green peas.
Ingredients Cooking Time : 30 Mins
Basmati rice – 1 cup
Green peas – 3/4 cup
Onion – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Ghee – 2 to 3 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 tablespoon
Cashew nuts – 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon sticks - 2
Cardamom seeds - 2
Cloves – 4 to 5
Star anise - 2
Green chilli – 2
Mint and corainder leaves
Salt - to taste
Water – 1 1/2 cups

Method
Step :1
Soak basmati rice for half n hour.Heat the pan with ghee and add the cinnamon sticks,cardamom ,cloves and star anise.Then add cashew nuts and fry , till it becomes golden brown then add cumin seeds.
Add onions and saute it with little salt.Then add ginger garlic paste and green chilli and fry, till the raw smell goes off.Add mint leaves and coriander leaves.

Step 2:

Add the green peas and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes  or until it half done cooked.
Now add the soaked rice and fry it for a minute then add water and salt.
I transferred it into the rice cooker.
If you are going to pressure Cook,then  cook it for one whistle and simmer it for 5 minutes,then switch off the flame.

Green Peas Pulav is now ready to serve.
