To Temper
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard and urad dal - 1 teaspoon
To Grind
Coconut-3/4 cup
Preparation Method
Soak tamarind in a hot water for 10 min. Take a cup of toor dal wash it and add water and cook it in a pressure cooker for 3 to 4 whistle
Prepare tamarind juice add turmeric,hing and salt in it.
Add tomato,potato and chilli powder into tamarind juice.
Heat oil in a pan add onion and fenugreek seeds.Add green chillies.Add the tamarind mixture.Let them boil for 20 min. or till the raw smell of tamarind goes out.
Add the boiled toor dal and let them boil for another 5 min.
Grind the given ingredients.
Add the coconut paste into the sambar and temper the ingredients given above the column "To Temper " and add it into the sambar
Finally add coriander leaves.
