SOYACHUNKS BRIYANI

Ingredients

  1. Soya chunks -2 cups
  2. Basmati rice-2 cups
  3. Onion-1 1/2
  4. Tomato-2
  5. Cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  7. Green chilli-2
  8. Coriander and mint leaves
  9. Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  10. Biryanimasala-1 1/2 tsp
  11. Oil or ghee-3 teaspoon
  12. Cashew nuts-10 to 12 cinnamon sticks-3 bay leaf-2 cardamom-2 to 3 cloves -4
  13. Salt- to taste

 Preparation Method
Boil the water and add soya chunks for 15 min.drain the water. DSC_0046DSC_0047
Wash it with cold water and squeeze out water from the soya chunks.

Heat the pan with oil and add the cashew nuts, cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, cardamom, cloves and cumin seeds

Add onion and salt. sauté till it comes golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste sauté it till the raw smell goes off then add green chilli, turmeric powder and tomato. Cook it till tomato gets smash.

Add chilli powder and biryani masala powder. Add coriander and mint leaves. mix it well. Add soya chunks and let it fry it for another 5 min.

Add the whole mixture into the rice and mix it well.switch ON the rice cooker.

Soya Chunks Biryani is ready to serve.

  if u are going to cook it in a pressure cooker, then cook it for 1 whistle and simmer it for 5 min.to prepare a biryani.
