Tomato gravy is a different and tastiest accompany for idly/dosa..Herewith i had given step by step pictures to prepare this.After taste this your family members must ask it to do once more.
Ingredients
- Tomato – 7 nos
- Onion (big) – 1
- Green chili – 2 (small size)
- Ginger – 1 inch piece
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Chili powder – 1 tsp
- hing – a pinch
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Salt as per taste
To temper
Oil – 2 tspMustard seed – 1 tsp
fenugreek seed – 1/4 tsp
Method of preparation
1.Chop onion,green chili,ginger finely as shown in the figure2. Put all the tomatoes into boiling water.Check all the tomatoes are fully immersed in water
3.When it is well cooked,you can see that the peel of the tomatoes will cracked
4.Take all the tomatoes out and remove the peel.
5.Now blend the tomatoes well or grind it
6.Heat oil in a pan.add fenugreek seeds first.Then add mustard seeds.
7.When it is spluttered,add chopped onions first,then add green chili,turmeric powder and hing
8.sauté it well till onion come to pink color.Then add the blended tomato.
9.when it is started to boil,Add coriander powder,Chili powder and salt one by one.
10.Add one more cup of water.Let it simmer till the gravy thickens.
11.Now tomato gravy is ready to taste.It is well going with dosa
