POHA

                                                              Poha /Aval is a easy to cook and a healthy dish. It is made with flattened rice. We can make varieties of dishes using Flattened rice.In this recipe I did very simple  poha we can also add vegetables,sprouts  and cook this poha as  a nutrition one. This recipe can serve 2 peoples.

Ingredients
Flattened rice / Aval – 2 cups
Onion – 1
Green chilli – 5 to 6
Redchilli – 2
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard and Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Water – as required
Chana dal – 1 teaspoon
Hing – a pinch
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Black Pepper powder – 1./2 teaspoon (optional)
coriander leaves
Method
Wash and soak the flattened rice for 3 to 4 minutes and drain the water out by pressing the flattened rice.

Chop the onions and green chillies.Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard and urad dal, when it started cracking add chana dal and redchilli and fry it in a medium flame till it comes to a golden brown.

Add the onions and saute it with little salt.when it is transparent add green chilli and curry leaves and saute it. Add turmeric powder, Hing  and Salt,mix it well.

Add the soaked flattened rice mix it gently.Cover it with lid and cook in a low flame for 2 minutes.

Finally add pepper powder and  corinader leaves

.Poha is now ready to serve.
