PONNANGANNI KEERAI KOOTU

                                                          Green leaves are more good for health.It is more healthier,less price and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
  • Ponnanganni keerai – a bunch
  • Moong dal – 3 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste

To grind

  • Scrubbed Coconut – 3 tsp
  • Small onion/shallots – 4 no's
  • Green chili – 1
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp
Preparation Method
1.First check the unwanted leaves in the Bunch.
2.Then rinse  the leaves thoroughly (3 to 4 times) till all the sand and stains are gone.
3.Chop the leaves as like shown in the figure.Soak moong dal for 15 min in 1/4 cup of wate.

4.Boil the soaked moong dal for 3 min.Then add the chopped green leaves.Grind all the things mentioned below “To Grind”

5.Saute it every now and then.When it is well cooked,Add the ground paste on the pan.Mix it well.Add a pinch of salt at the end of the time only.
6.Now Ponnanganni keerai kootu  is ready.

Tips
1.Always use fresh keerai to cook.
2.After cleaning keerai only,You may chop the leaves.Otherwise all the vitamins are spoiled.
3.Use less salt while preparing keerai and add it at the end of the time.
