Pulila kuzhambu is very easy to prepare.make pulila kuzambu weekly once for medicine purpose.
Ingredients
Moong dal – 1 cup
Brinjal-2 (You can also add Drumsticks)
Salt – to taste
To Roast
Oil-2 tsp
Rice-1 tsp
Coconut-4 tsp
Redchilli-3
Peppercorn-1 tsp
Cumin seeds –1 tsp
To Temper
Oil-1 tsp
Mustard and Urad dal –1 tsp
Curry leaves- 1 sprig
Method
Cut the brinjals.Take a cup of moongdal wash it and cook it in a pressure cooker(with brinjal ) for 2 whistles .
Heat the pan with oil and fry the ingredients given in the column “To Roast”.(Fry the rice first,when it started roast then add all the ingredients one by one and fry it till all it comes golden brown in color).
Grind the roasted ingredients and mix it with cooked moong dal.boil it for 5 min.
Add salt.
Finally temper the ingredients given above and mix it well .Add some curry leaves.
Pulila Kuzambu is now ready to serve with rice.
