BOONDI LADOO

Recipe Highlights
Most popular Indian sweet.Easy to make and simply delicious.
Ingredients Cooking Time : 45 Mins
Besan flour – 1 cup
Water – 1/2 to 3/4 cup
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Cashewnuts – 1 teaspoon

For Sugar Syrup
Sugar – 1 1/2 cup
Water – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Method
Step :1
Sieve besan flour and mix with water in a bowl.The consistency should be not be too thick or too thin.
When you pour this batter into the ladle it should drop immediately or if it is hard to drop, then you have add little  more water to loosen the batter.

Step 2:

To prepare sugar syrup take a pan add water and sugar.Bring it to boil in a medium flame.When you touch it between your index finger and thumb and pull it apart,it should form a string.It takes 10 to 12 minutes.At that time add cardamom powder and switch off the flame.

Step 3: 

Heat oil in a pan and pour the little batter on the boondi ladle gently tap it.Small drops  of batter fall into the oil.Fry till golden brown.Remove it from oil and put them into the sugar syrup.
Clean the ladle each time before pouring the batter.
Repeat the same process for the rest of the batter.

Step 4:

Fry the cashew nuts in one teaspoon of ghee and mix it with boondi.You can also add cloves,raisins.
Let the boondi soak in the sugar syrup for 1 / 2 hour.

Step 5:
Then dip your hands in the water and ready to make ladoos by pressing them tightly.
