Step :1
Soak raw rice for 4 hours.Drain the water and grind it to a fine thick paste.(add little water) | |
Step 2:
Take a pan with jaggery and little water and once jaggery dissolves and the syrup slightly thick strain the syrup to remove impurities.
In the rice paste, add the baking soda,coconut and cardamom powder.Then add the jaggery syrup and mix it well. If it too water then add some rice flour. | |
Step 3:
Heat the paniyaram pan,add some ghee in each hole and pour the batter.
Wait for 2 to 3 minutes when cooked on one side,flip it to other side.
Cook until both sides are golden brown. | |
Nei appam is now ready to serve.
