ADA PRADHAMAN PAYASAM

Recipe Highlights
Ada pradhaman payasam is a rich  and delicious payasam cook with coconut milk
Ingredients Cooking Time : 30 Mins
Ada – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 1/2 cup to 2 cup
Thin Coconut milk – 3 cups
Thick coconut milk – 1 cup 
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Cashewnuts – 1 tablespoon

Method
Step :1
Take 4 to 5 cups of water.Let it boil and switch off the flame.Then add ada and keep it close for 15 to 20 minutes till the ada is soft.
Drain the water and keep it aside.

Step 2: 

Take jaggery in a pan add 1/2 cup water and dissolve the jaggery. strain it and keep it aside. Again boil the jaggery syrup,then add the cooked ada.Stir it and cook it till the jaggery syrup starts thickening.
Now add the thin coconut milk first.(I bought canned coconut milk.Just add half can, with enough water to make it thin.You can use the fresh coconut milk also).Allow it to boil for 5 minutes.
Then add the thick coconut milk and simmer it for 10 minutes.then switch off the flame.
Add some cardamom powder.Heat another pan with ghee and fry the cashewnuts.
Mix it with the payasam.
Serve it hot.

Ada pradhaman payasam is now ready to serve.
