Onion - 1 tomato - 1 Carrot -2 Potato - 2 Toordal – 1/2 cup Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon Hing – a pinch Sambar powder – 2 teaspoon | oil – 1 teaspoon Mustard and Urad dal – 1 teaspoon Salt- to taste corainder leaves |

Step :1 Chop onion,tomato,carrot,potato .Wash and put them into pressure cooker with toor dal and enough water. Put turmeric powder and hing and cook them for 3 to 4 whistles. | |
Step 2: Once the pressure completely released from the cooker open the lid. Put the sambar powder and salt and add enough water and boil the sambar for 5 minutes in a medium flame. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and urad dal.When the mustard starts to crackle put them in to sambar and mix it well. Finally add some corainder leaves. | |
