Meal maker--Soya chunk Curry

How to Make Soya Bean/Meal maker curry

Recipe Highlights
Meal maker curry is well going with steam rice and chappathi
Ingredients Cooking Time : 15 - 20 Mins
Meal maker/Soya Chunk – 1 cup
Potato – 3 (medium)
Onion – 2 (Medium)
Tomato – 3
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Fennel seeds – 2 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Oil -  4 tsp
Cinnamon stick - few
Salt - to taste
To grind
scrubbed coconut – 3 tsp 
Poppy seeds – 1 tsp(soak it before grind)

Method
Step :1
First soak meal maker in 2 cups of boiling water.(All meal makers must be immersed within water,else use one bowl to immerse).After 10 minutes drain hot water and place  in cool water.then squeeze all the meal makers well and keep it aside.

Step 2:

Cook all the potatoes well in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles. Later remove the peel and smash into small pieces

Cut the meal makers finely as like shown in the figure.

Step 4:

Heat 4 tsp oil in a pan.Add fennel seeds,cinnamon stick.Saute it for few minutes.

Step 5:
Now add chopped onions,green chili ,then tomatoes one by one.Saute it till tomatoes going mushy.

Step 6:
Now add meal makers and saute it for few seconds.Then add salt,chili powder,coriander powder,garam masala one by one.Saute it till raw smell goes out.Now add half cup of water and close it with a lid.

Step 7:
Grind the coconut with poppy seeds and add the paste into the above.Let it allow to boil for one more 5 minutes.

Step 8:
Add more water to adjust the gravy level.At last add the potatoes into it and mix it well.allow to cook for few seconds.Switch off the flame.

Meal maker curry is now ready to serve.
