COCONUT THIRATTUPAL

Recipe Highlights
Simple and rich sweet made with coconut and moongdal.
Ingredients Cooking Time : 30Mins
Coconut scrappings – 5 cups
Moongdal – 1/2 cup
Milk – 1/2 litre
Jaggery – 8 to 10 pieces
Ghee – 2 tablespoon
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Water – 1/4 cup
Cashewnuts – 2 teaspoon

Method
Step :1
Take 2 cups of grated coconut and moong dal in a mixer and make a thick paste by adding little water.Then add the remaining grated coconut and make paste.

Step 2:

In nonstick pan put the grinded paste and milk and mix it well.Keep the flame high for 10 minutes so that the raw smell goes off. keep stirring continuously.
After 10 minutes, Reduce the flame to medium and stir continuously for another 10 minutes.

Step 3:

After 20 minutes add the jaggery ,cardamom powder and ghee and stir it continuously.Switch off the flame when it starts to leave the side of the pan.
Take another pan, add a teaspoon of ghee and roast the cashewnuts and mix it with the thirattupal.

Coconut Thirattupal is now ready to taste.
