GULAB JAMUN WITH INSTANT MIX

Recipe Highlights
Tasty gulab jamun with readymix powder.I used MTR gulab jamun mix.
Ingredients Cooking Time : 45 Mins
Readymade packet –1 (around 250 gms)
Sugar – 250 gms
Water –250 gms
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon
Oil – to fry

Method
Step :1
Read the instructions given on the pack.
Take gulab jamun mix in a bowl and add water little at a time and make a soft dough.(You can also add milk instead of water).Close it with lid and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

Step 2:

Take sugar and water and let them dissolve.
Boil the syrup for 10 to 15 minutes till the syrup turns slightly sticky to touch.Add the cardamom powder.switch off the flame and Keep it aside.Let the syrup becomes warm.
After 30 minutes take the dough.it will be soft to touch.
Grease your palm with ghee.
Take small size dough and gently press into flat and roll it continuously,to make a smooth and crack free jamun.
Heat oil in a pan,put a pinch of dough.if it rises to the top slowly,oil is perfect.Now add the gulab jamun. Rotate the jamun in the oil .Now the gulab jamun becomes golden brown (it will take 5 to 6 minutes to reach golden brown).remove it from the oil and keep it in a tissue paper for 2 minutes.Now drop it in the sugar syrup.The sugar syrup must be warm.
If the sugar syrup becomes cold,heat till it becomes medium hot.Let them soak in the syrup for 3 to 4 hours.
Transfer the jamun in a airtight container and store it.
