GREEN PEAS MASALA

Recipe Highlights
One of the tastiest side dish for chappathi
Ingredients Cooking Time :  30 Mins
Green peas – 1 cup
Onion - 2
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Tumeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Oil – 3 tablespoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Mint and Coriander leaves

Method
Step :1
Soak the green peas overnight and cook it in a pressure cooker with enough water for 2  whistles.
Chop the onion and tomato.
Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add onion, saute it with little salt. when it comes to transparent add ginger garlic paste and fry it till the raw smell goes off.
Now add the tomatoes.Fry it for few minutes.Add turmeric powder, chili powder and salt and fry it for  5 minutes in a medium flame.Add some mint leaves and fry it for minute.(optional)
Switch OFF the flame and let it cool down for some times.Put them in a mixer and make a fine paste.

Step 2:

Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.Then add the grinded paste.(Reduce the flame to low. )
Add garam masala and green peas and let them boil for 10 minutes in a low heat.
Finally add some coriander leaves.

Green peas masals is now ready to serve.
