GREEN GRAM VADA / PASI PAYURU VADA

Ingredients Cooking Time : 10 Mins
Green gram / pasi payuru – 1 cup
Green chilli - 2
Ginger – a small piece
Onion - 1
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves
Oil- to deep fry
Salt - to taste

Method
Step :1
Soak the green gram for an hour with enough water.
Drain the water and add green chilli and ginger.
Put them into mixer and grind it into a fine paste

Step 2:

Transfer the grinded paste into a mixing bowl and add onions,cumin seeds,salt and curry leaves and mix them well.
Heat oil for deep frying.put a drop of this mixture and check whether the oil is hot or not.
If the drop of the dal comes to the surface of the oil immediately, then the oil is hot. Otherwise, heat the oil for some more time.
Put the mixture into the oil using teaspoon .When the color of a  vada changes, flip it.
When both the sides turn to light golden brown, turn the heat to low and remove it from the pan and transfer it into the kitchen paper towel.
Serve hot.
