DRUMSTICK LEAVES PULILA KULAMBU

Ingredients Cooking Time : 45 Mins
Moong dal – 1 cup
Drumstick leaves – 10 to 15 spring
Salt – to taste

To TemperOil – 1teaspoon
Mustard and Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 1 spring
To Roast Oil – 2 teaspoon
Rice – 1 teaspoon
Coconut – 4 teaspoon
Redchilli – 1 or 2
Peppercorn – 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
Cumin sedds – 1 teaspoon

Method
Step :1
Wash the moongdal and cook it in a pressure cooker for 2 to 3 whistles.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the ingredients given above in the column “To Roast”(First fry the rice it starts to roast the add the ingredients one by one and fry it till it comes to golden brown in color.
(Add the peppercorns according to your spicyness.If you want more spicyness means finally add some pepper powder)
Let them cool down completely and grind them in to a fine paste.

Step 2:

Wash the drumsticks leaves and remove it from the stem.
Cook the leaves with 1 cup water.It takes 5 minutes to cook.
Then add the cooked moong dal and mix it well.
Then add the grinded coconut paste and salt and mix it well.
Finally temper the ingredients given above in the column “To Temper” and mix it with kulambu.
Serve hot with rice.
