KONDAIKADALAI / CHICKPEAS SUNDAL

Ingredients Cooking Time : 30 Mins
Channa/Chickpeas  – 1 cup
Water – as needed
Salt – as needed
To Temper
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Redchilli – 2
Mustard and Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Hing – a pinch
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Shredded coconut – 1 teaspoon

Method
Step :1
Wash and Soak the channa/chickpeas  overnight. Transfer chickpeas to the pressure cooker with enough water and salt.Then cook it  for 4 to 5  whistles.



Drain the cooked chickpeas.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and urad dal. when it started  crackling add the redchilli,curry leaves and hing. Add the chickpeas and mix it .Finally add the shredded coconut and mix it well.Transfer to a serving bowl.

Chickpeas/Channa sundal is now ready to serve.
