WHEAT RAVA PONGAL / SAMBA GODHUMAI PONGAL

Healthy pongal
Ingredients Cooking Time : 30 Mins
Wheat rava – 1cup
Moong dal – 1/2 cup
Water – 4 cups
Salt – to taste
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
To fryGhee – 1 tablespoon
Cashew nuts - few
Green chilli - 1
Hing – a pinch
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper – 1 teaspoon
Chopped ginger – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - few

Method
Step :1
Dry roast the wheat rava till you get a nice aroma and keep it aside.Now dry roast the moong dal till they are light golden brown.
Add wheat rava and moong dal in a pressure cooker.add water and a teaspoon of ghee.Cook them for 2 to 3 whistles.

Step 2:

Heat ghee in  a pan and fry the ingredients given above in the column to fry.
Once the pressure from the cooker completely released open and mix it with the roasted items and salt.
Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Wheat rava pongal is now ready to serve.
